Baltic Sea Restaurant and Harbour Promenade, Damp

The Baltic seaside resort of Damp is a popular holiday destination on the Schleswig-Holstein coast and combines maritime relaxation with a wide range of leisure and wellness facilities. The modern marina, the extensive beaches and the inviting harbour promenade make the town a magnet for guests from near and far. To further enrich the offer, the former ‘Pyramidengrill’ building was renovated and reopened as a Baltic Sea restaurant with a new architectural concept.

A glass eye-catcher at the harbour

The refurbishment centred on extending the existing building with a glass extension. The generous glass facade can be opened up completely to the water and offers guests an incomparable panorama of Damper harbour. The open design creates a direct connection to the maritime surroundings and at the same time provides light-flooded interiors. The conversion emphasises the combination of modern architecture and the traditional elements of the Baltic coast, making the building a defining highlight of the harbour promenade.

Inviting outdoor areas for relaxing hours

The newly designed outdoor areas continue the maritime flair. Guests can enjoy the fresh Baltic Sea air and watch the hustle and bustle in the harbour on wooden platforms that reach right down to the water’s edge. The sunny seating areas invite guests to relax and offer space for enjoyment and recreation. With a construction period of one year and a budget of 1.8 million euros, the Baltic Sea Restaurant is not only a functional building, but also an architectural statement that sustainably increases the attractiveness of the Baltic Sea resort of Damp.
